Under the bed, the installation kit will meet your exhaust at the size it is, bring it up to 4 inch -the optimal exhaust size for most diesel pickups- and then expands to 5" above the bed. All 5, 6, 7 and 8 inch Grand Rock Stacks neck down to a 5 inch base to give a smooth expanding exhaust flow, so if your stock exhaust is 3 1/2 inches, and you put 6 inch Aussie's on it, you will have an exhaust flow going from 3.5 to 4 under bed to 5 across the bed to 6 inches up and out, creating a smooth performance exhaust flow for your diesel pickup truck!
